{"id":185,"date":"2014-08-27T14:07:47","date_gmt":"2014-08-27T14:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paulbristow.net\/blog\/?p=185"},"modified":"2014-08-27T14:07:47","modified_gmt":"2014-08-27T14:07:47","slug":"leman-make","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paulbristow.net\/blog\/2014\/08\/27\/leman-make\/","title":{"rendered":"Leman Make"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In early 2014, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/boloshon\">Thomas Joubert<\/a> approached me with an idea. \u00a0He wanted to know if I thought there were enough makers around Lake Geneva to put on an exhibition of making. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t know, but said &#8220;why don&#8217;t we find out?&#8221;. \u00a0We sent out an email to everywhere we could think of inviting makers to get together to see if there was interest. The first meetup was held at <a href=\"http:\/\/posttenebraslab.ch\" target=\"_blank\">Post Tenebras Lab<\/a>. \u00a0A few months later, when it was clear we did have\u00a0enough interest, the <a href=\"http:\/\/lemanmake.com\" target=\"_blank\">LemanMake <\/a>association was formed in Lausanne.<\/p>\n<p>The LemanMake festival will be held on 27 &amp; 28 June in Nyon, Switzerland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interested in finding out more about the local maker community?
